Scientist - Diamyd, Stockholm/Mälardalen

On behalf of Diamyd Medical we are looking for a talented data-driven Scientist to R&D

Diamyd Medical develops precision medicine therapies for the prevention and treatment of Type 1 Diabetes and LADA (Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults). Diamyd^® is an antigen-specific immunomodulatory therapeutic for the preservation of endogenous insulin production that has been granted Orphan Drug Designation in the U.S. as well as Fast Track Designation by the U.S. FDA for the treatment of Stage 1, 2 and 3 Type 1 Diabetes.

A biomanufacturing facility is under development in Umeå, Sweden, for the manufacture of recombinant GAD65 protein, the active ingredient in the antigen-specific immunotherapy Diamyd^®. Diamyd Medical’s B-share is traded on Nasdaq First North Growth Market under the ticker DMYD B.

We are looking for a versatile Scientist to join our dynamic R&D team. The ideal candidate will have a scientific background, an analytical mindset, and an ability to contribute across various areas, including data analysis, medical writing, and project management. Experience with AI tools is a plus, as this role offers opportunities to leverage AI to enhance efficiency and drive innovation.

The office is based in Stockholm City and you will report to the Chief Scientific Officer. Hybrid working solution is possible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, organize and manage data from various sources

• Analyze clinical, CMC and non-clinical data using various statistical and analytical tools


• To author/contribute with documents for regulatory interactions (i.e Investigator Brochure, CMC, Technical reports etc)

• Write abstracts, research articles, and other scientific papers for publication and presentations

• Project management of non-clinical and immunological analysis projects for clinical and other purposes


• Lead and contribute to activities related to intellectual property management

Qualifications:

• MSc or PhD within a Life science related field

• A good understanding of how to perform data extraction and manipulation using programming languages


• Documented work experience from data analytics and data visualization


• Experience implementing AI tools in previous roles is meriting


• Strong writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise and well-structured documents and scientific papers


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams
