Senior AI Engineer

The AI Engineering department at Capgemini Engineering designs and delivers AI/ML solutions to optimize engineering workflows. Our mission is to enable clients with intelligent systems that improve processes, decision-making, and growth opportunities. 

We collaborate across Capgemini to provide end-to-end AI capabilities, from data strategy and model development to scalable deployment and continuous improvement. This ensures our solutions are robust, ethical, business-aligned, and scalable. 

Your role 

We are seeking skilled and motivated Senior AI Engineers interested in AI solution architecture, development, and deployment. You will design and deliver advanced AI solutions for clients across Sweden and the Nordics, combining AI/ML expertise with business understanding to build scalable, efficient architectures and workflows. 

This role blends hands-on engineering with solution design and process optimization. Work includes client project delivery, internal presales and solutioning activities, collaborating with Solution Architects and the Head of AI Engineering.

In your role you will play a key role in: 

• Design and architect end-to-end AI/ML solutions to solve complex client problems and optimize engineering workflows. 

• Work with clients and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical AI specifications.

• Lead hands-on development and deployment of scalable, reliable AI models and platforms.

• Drive process optimization, automation, and technology selection while contributing to reusable assets and best practices.

• Support team growth and business development through mentoring, staying current on AI trends, participating in presales, and ensuring ethical, compliant AI solutions. 

Your profile

• 8+ years of experience across industries (e.g., Automotive, Manufacturing, Defense, Life Sciences, Telecom, Retail, Finance) with a Master’s or PhD in AI, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related STEM field

• Strong expertise in AI solution architecture and process redesign, ideally within industrial environments

• Expertise in Python with hands-on experience in AI/ML frameworks and libraries such as PyTrch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, and LangChain

• Solid understanding of data and cloud platforms, including Databricks and Snowflake, as well as Azure, AWS, or GCP and their AI/ML services

• Experience of MLOps and end-to-end model lifecycle, combined with a proactive, strategic mindset and strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills (English fluency required; Swedish is a plus)
