Job Description - Senior Business Developer - Solar Parks

The Utility team at Svea Solar is responsible for utility-scale (i.e., very large!) projects. We are currently a market leader in Sweden and on a strong growth path across Europe. For instance, we've just built a solar park in Fjällskär (20.7 MW), making it Sweden’s biggest park. Now we are looking for our next Senior Business Developer to help scale our business even further!

The role

As a Senior Business Developer, you'll be responsible for driving the largest revenue projects within Svea Solar, which significantly impacts the company's overall growth targets. The Utility team currently has a strong market share of +60 % which creates a strong platform to grow in this role.

The market and our business model are in a sustainable hypergrowth stage. By joining now, you can shape the way solar will be developed, built, sold & bought in Sweden for years to come. More specifically, the role entails but is not limited to:

  • Establishing and managing contacts with potential customers, such as developers, industries and land & property owners, who want to build a solar park.
  • While acting as the first point of contact for the customer, work closely with the EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) team as well as suppliers and partners to craft the optimal solution for each project.
  • Building strong relationships with key stakeholders and continuously maturing and prioritising your pipeline.
  • Responsibility from the first point of contact with a new customer all the way to finalised and signed agreement, after which it is handed over to the operations team.

  • Around 5-10years of previous experience and proven track record from sales or business development in large-scale utility, industrial-scale projects or similar technical environments.
  • Experience and confidence in driving and negotiate close to three-digit million SEK project deals.
  • University education within engineering or similar.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Curiosity and willingness to continuously learn and grow together with us and the industry.
