Job Scope

The Senior Business Systems Manager provides strategic leadership across Lyten’s business systems landscape within a manufacturing-driven enterprise. This role ensures that platforms, processes, and integrations effectively support end-to-end manufacturing operations, supply chain execution, finance, and production scale-up while maintaining cost efficiency.

The role combines program management, product ownership, and cross-functional leadership to connect manufacturing, supply chain, operations, and finance business needs with system capabilities and drive execution of the business systems roadmap. The position acts as a central coordinator ensuring that business systems supporting manufacturing and industrial operations evolve in a structured, prioritized, and business-driven manner, while maintaining architectural integrity and operational excellence. This position requires both strategic vision and hands-on technical capability, with expectations to tactically configure systems, solve operational issues, and directly contribute to system optimizations in manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering:

Support joint IT/business roadmap planning and prioritization across manufacturing, supply chain, operations, and finance. Develop and maintain a comprehensive business systems roadmap focused on manufacturing execution, operational efficiency, and cost optimization.

Operational Leadership:

Lead and guide internal and external contributors involved in business systems delivery supporting manufacturing operations. Tactically perform system configurations, troubleshooting, and issue resolution to maintain continuity of manufacturing-critical systems.

Strategic Architecture & Governance:

Ensure business systems architecture supports manufacturing, production, and scale-up requirements. Drive changes to the manufacturing systems landscape to meet evolving operational and cost needs.

Integration & Standards:

Ensure manufacturing-related system integrations (ERP, MES, PLM, Supply Chain systems) follow established standards and promote harmonization to reduce cost and complexity.

Cost Optimization & Value Management:

Optimize business systems costs across manufacturing and operational systems, ensuring measurable ROI aligned with industrial performance goals.

Hands-On Technical Execution:

Provide hands-on technical support for manufacturing system configurations, upgrades, and incidents to ensure minimal disruption to production operations.

Requirements

REQUIRED – Manufacturing Industry Experience:

Demonstrated and mandatory experience working in manufacturing companies, supporting manufacturing, supply chain, production, or industrial operations through enterprise business systems. Candidates without prior manufacturing or industrial enterprise systems experience will not be considered.

Experience:

8+ years of experience in business systems, program management, or digital transformation within manufacturing or industrial environments. Proven experience leading cross-functional programs across manufacturing, supply chain, operations, and finance teams. Hands-on experience with enterprise systems commonly used in manufacturing companies, including ERP, MES, PLM, Supply Chain, HRIS, and Finance systems.

Skills:

Strong program and project management capabilities. Deep understanding of enterprise system architecture in manufacturing environments. Working knowledge of ITSM processes supporting operational systems. Strong business acumen with the ability to engage manufacturing and operations stakeholders on system value and performance.
