About the job 

If you are an experienced, analytical, and driven Senior Data Engineer and have your strengths in the reporting and analytics area you might be the person we are looking for to join our Data Development & Insight team in our Global IT organization. 

Our goal is to further advance our analytics and reporting capabilities and enhance our processes and we explore new ways to improve how to provide better services to our customers and we evaluate new technologies like AI, ML and Automation where relevant. 

In this role you be part of the team that among other things are responsible for development and operations of: 

• our data warehouse that serves our reporting and analytics solutions

• our integration platform where our operative integrations flow

• our master data management

• driving analytical AI development. 

In this role you will collaborate broadly with key stakeholders both within IT and throughout the organization.

We will put great emphasis on your personal qualities and suitability for this role. 

Responsibilities and Capabilities

We are planning to do an upgrade of our current data warehouse that has served us well since quite some years now, meaning that this gives you an unique opportunity to join at a time when you can have an impact on and set the approach and architecture for our coming solution. 

Required experience and knowledge 

• Experience to maintain and develop our existing Analytics platform that is currently based on MS SQL Server. 

• Be an expert in data warehousing best practices, and principles using different approaches like using lakehouse concepts, data mesh etc. serving future strategic analytical and reporting solutions 

• Experience and expertise in Azure (mainly analytics and integrations) 

• Be part of technical last line support for all data products and analytics solutions 

• Be a technical contact and developer in internal projects and initiatives in the area of analytics and integrations 

• Contribute to solutions architecture throughout our platforms 

• Contribute to further development our Ways of working 

• Develop and manage integration solutions 

• Develop and manage masterdata management 

Requirements

• You are able to contribute to and are well grounded in developing strategies and architectural approaches in complex environments. 

• You thrive in a fast-paced environment with high expectations. 

• You are a great team player and enjoy collaborating on all levels 

• You have excellent communication skills and can explain complex solutions in an easy-to-understand way to various stakeholders 

• You have a good understanding of development methodologies, security and adjacent areas of IT including operating Business Applications and solutions for a global group of companies. 

• You have a solid and up to date understanding of architectures, best practices, and principles, for:

• Business Intelligence solutions,

• Master Data Management,

• Operative Data Integrations,

• Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Automation 

• With an emphasizes on Business Intelligence solutions 

• If you have prior experience from being a project manager or leading a team will be seen as a merit. 

Requirements 

• University, higher education, or equivalent work experience. 

• Excellent communication skills. 

• 5-10 years of experience in a similar role. 

• 5-10 years of experience in a Microsoft based relevant solution (we currently operate in a legacy on prem solution combined with an Azure environment) 

• Candidates who can demonstrate continuous learning and ability to adapt new technologies and stay up to date with the latest trends will prevail. 

• Experience of working in multicultural environments. 

• Experience from other solutions than Microsoft based is a merit. 

• Previous work in organizations that collaborate over several time zones is a merit. 
• Meriting experience and knowledge 
• DevOps expertise
• CI/CD expertise

The Stockholm office has approximately 70 employees of more than 20 different nationalities represented at the office. We are in a brand-new office in Lilla Bantorget, 6 min walk from the central station in Stockholm.
