As a Senior PHP Developer for Sambla Group you will be responsible for optimising and maintaining a robust and highly commercial successful monolithic application that is managing high traffic volumes. You will also be a part of the team that continuously enhances the system to meet evolving business needs and technological advancements.

Experience

• Work experience within PHP based web applications as a developer or similar role, or proven experience showing that you have:

  • Strong technical understanding and experience. Can pick things up as they are and take responsibility for that.

  • Strong working experience with communication, understanding of business requirements and stakeholder management.

  • Working end to end with a larger project from planning to implementation.

Must haves

• Strong proficiency in PHP both with modern object oriented PHP as well as legacy PHP

• Strong working experience with mySQL or other relational databases

• Experience with Laravel

• Full-stack development experience or a desire and ability to develop secondary skills in front-end technologies such as jQuery, typescript, React or VueJS

• Analytical approach with the ability to extract and analyse complex code and data

• Be a team player. We are a small team so communication and cooperation is key

• A good understanding of common software architecture principles

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)

Nice to haves

• Familiarity with Python,Linux based systems, AWS,CI/CD and/orElastic+Kibana

• Desire to learn and understand business requirements and stakeholder management
