Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team delivering a major data centre project in Sweden.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially strong QS with a proven main contracting background to join a high-value, technically complex project within one of Europe's rapidly expanding data centre markets.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role within the project commercial team, taking responsibility for the commercial management of significant work packages from procurement through to final account.

You will work closely with the Project Director, Commercial Manager, Project Managers, procurement and supply-chain teams to ensure the project is delivered in accordance with the commercial and contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Commercial management of major subcontract and supply-chain packages.

* Procurement and negotiation of subcontract packages.

* Preparing and managing monthly valuations, applications for payment and payment notices.

* Cost reporting, forecasting and maintaining accurate project CVRs.

* Management of variations, change control and commercial risk.

* Subcontract administration and management of contractual obligations.

* Assessment and agreement of subcontractor accounts and final accounts.

* Reviewing subcontractor applications, valuations and supporting documentation.

* Identifying commercial opportunities and potential exposure at an early stage.

* Supporting the Commercial Manager with contractual correspondence, claims and dispute avoidance.

* Working closely with construction teams to ensure commercial decisions reflect project progress and delivery.

* Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and the wider project team.

Previous data centre experience is highly desirable, particularly experience working on large-scale mission-critical projects.

However, candidates with a strong main-contracting background across sectors such as industrial, pharmaceutical, high-tech, MEP, infrastructure or other technically complex projects will also be considered.

* BSc Quantity Surveying

* Based in EU or UK (ideally due to mobilisation and Visas)

* Clear background across Main Contracting

* Open to travel is a must

* Experienced in FIDIC & JCT
