Senior Robot Developer

Responsibilities

As a developer at HUGO, you work close to the robots and the prime layers of our product. We are a small team, so the more things you find interesting, the more opportunities there are. Software development? UX? Electronics? Fullstack? System design? 3D printing? It's all in there.

Most of our products are case-specific, so your main task will be to design and develop robot-oriented software according to a project’s specifications. Be prepared for a nimble workday with high degrees of autonomy.

Requirements :

• Have a degree in Robotics/Computer Science/Mechatronics or similar. A Master’s/Ph.D. is a plus but not required if relevant experience (+3 years) applies.

• Proficient in C++ and Python programming with sound coding, testing, and documentation practices.

• Knowledgeable in ROS2 and Linux.

• Good understanding and implementation of autonomous navigation algorithms and computer vision.

• Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills.

• Comfortable with spoken and written English.

Bonus points if you have…

• Dealt with sensors such as cameras, IMUs, or LIDARs.

• Some experience in front-end or back-end development.

• Interest in embedded system design and robotics hardware.

• Project management skills.
