Mytra is currently seeking a junior to mid level systems administrator. In this role you will be supporting employees, internal development and production systems. You’ll be helping to manage linux servers, networks and helping end users with helpdesk issues. We are looking for someone with strong linux system administration skills who also knows and can work in Windows and MacOS

• Respond to Trouble Tickets and Slack messages
• Install and manage network cabling
• Install Windows and Linux on bare metal and virtualized hardwarehardware
• Draw from and contribute to various open source projects
• Participate in on-call rotation with the rest of the team

Ensure the confidentiality and security of all information in compliance with company policy and IT standards. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on laptops, desktops, and peripherals remotely and on-site. Comprehend and communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users at all levels of the organization. Develop proficiency and expertise with new technology, software, and hardware in a fast-paced environment

Perform other duties as assigned

Successful candidates will have excellent troubleshooting skills, some understanding of computer security issues, and entry-level experience in as many of the following areas as possible:

●      configuration management / large scale deployment methods / Ansible / SALT

●      systems planning, documentation, and communication

●      Linux / *BSD / Unix-like systems administration

●      Python / Rust/ Go / shell scripting

●      Kandji/Intune/Nightfall/Crowdstrike

●      Google Suite

●      AWS/Azure/GCP

●      creating custom monitoring and metric collection

●      network-attached storage / ZFS filesystem

●      open source and commercial firewalls

●      MTA software such as Postfix

●      key-value stores such as Redis, Memcached

●      developer support, QA, and testing

●      TCP/IP and related protocols

●      x86-64 and Arm32/64 hardware

●      Git, SVN, CVS

●      DNS+DHCP

●      OSI network model

Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist with setup of workstations, printers, and networking equipment. Basic knowledge of ITIL concepts. Comfortable working on scissors with safety gear.
