Job Description - Technical Sales Manager Residential Distribution - Nordics

Your mission

As a Technical Sales Manager for the Distribution segment, you will be a key member of the Nordic technical sales team, responsible for supporting and driving the growth of Sungrow’s residential product portfolio through distribution partners.

This is a pre-sales, customer-facing technical role, focused on enabling installers, distributors, and partners with the knowledge, confidence, and support required to successfully position, sell, and install Sungrow solutions.

You will act as the technical bridge between product, sales, and the field, ensuring our partners are fully equipped to deploy our solutions efficiently and correctly.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide hands-on technical support to distributors, installers, and partners
  • Deliver technical consultations during pre-sales (system design, product selection, troubleshooting)
  • Support sales in customer meetings with clear technical explanations
  • Prepare and review technical proposals and documentation
  • Lead technical trainings, workshops, and certification sessions
  • Act as the go-to expert for installation and commissioning best practices
  • Develop and improve training materials and documentation
  • Ensure partners can confidently handle real-world challenges
  • Spend significant time in the field visiting customers and installers
  • Support first installations and complex cases
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues in real installations
  • Gather feedback and relay insights internally
  • Build expertise in inverters, ESS systems, and hybrid solutions
  • Stay updated on grid requirements and regulations
  • Monitor competitor technologies and positioning

Your profile

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Strong technical sales experience 
  • Strong understanding of PV systems, ESS, and grid connection principles
  • Based in Sweden or Denmark
  • 3–7+ years in technical sales or application engineering
  • Experience with residential solar, ESS, or power electronics
  • Experience with installers/distributors preferred
  • Fluent in English (C1) + one Nordic language
  • Willingness to travel frequently
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Confident communicator able to explain complex systems simply
  • Comfortable leading trainings
  • Hands-on, field-oriented mindset
  • Commercial awareness
