ROLE SUMMARY

What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?

Working as Category Manager you will be part of our Sweden Trade organization with engaged and highly experienced colleagues who all focus on delivering upon our strategy and objectives to create true value to our Nordic business. We are all dynamic professionals that work in an international environment where the ambitious mindset and focused approach is supported greatly by skilled, diverse individuals.

As Category Manager you will manage a team of 2-3 people tasked with managing our retail platform across product categories. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to the successful development, roll out, installation, maintenance, tracking and compliance of our in-store furniture solutions. You will also be responsible for driving the retail platform strategy, setting KPIs and targets, and managing your team’s budget.

You will be expected collaborate closely with both internal and external teams, including brand, key account, procurement, finance as well as external design agencies and In-store furniture suppliers. Being based in Sweden you will be responsible for the success of the local Swedish deployment of these solutions while also align on a Nordics level together with local deployment teams (Denmark, Norway, and Finland).

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Together with your team, lead the development of in-store furniture and multi-category solutions in collaboration with partner agencies and furniture suppliers
  • Collaborate closely with several internal stakeholders including Brand and Key Account to find new solutions that fit the needs of the customers and consumer
  • Manage installation, maintenance and tracking of in-store furniture solutions
  • Formulate the retail platform strategy to ensure the sustained success of our business
  • Manage the annual planning cycle and forecast to ensure successful roll out and inventory management
  • Manage budget and KPIs/target setting and tracking
  • Find new opportunities to streamline process and optimizing ways of working across functions
  • Lead the team supporting their performance objectives and development plans
  • Comply and implement activities in accordance with the rules of laws and regulations relating to environmental protection, safety at work and fire protection, and internal EHS or Sustainability standards and procedures.
  • EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

    ESSENTIAL

  • Relevant experience from FMCG industry
  • Strategic mindset and proven strategic results
  • Project management skills and experience
  • Budget Management experience
  • People Management experience is beneficial
  • Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

  • Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required

  • To qualify for the position the candidate must possess a relevant master’s degree and have relevant experience from the FMCG industry.

  • Fluency in one of the Scandinavian languages is considered an advantage, but not a requirement.
