DC Transport Operations Controller

Job Description

We are currently looking for an Operations Controller to join our controlling team in Eskilstuna. Do you have a genuine interest and knowledge in business controlling, logistics and transport? Are you willing to develop yourself within controlling? If so, then you might be the person we are looking for!

As an Operations Controller you support DC Controlling and DC Operations to achieve business results, optimize performance and ensure compliance. You will be an ambassador for a profitability mindset and assist DC Operations to work efficiently towards their goals. You will be the point of contact regarding all transport reporting, monitoring and analyses, existing and future transport setup, with tight collaboration with local transport coordinators.

Your main responsibilities: 

• Responsible for all financial and operational data related to DC controlling, incl. setup and follow up on agreed budget, projects, KPIs
• Support departments and management team with financial and quantitative insights as well as reports and analyses 
• Verify correct invoicing and quality check of main cost drivers related to transport costs

Your skills and experience

To be successful in this role, we believe that you have the following qualities/competencies: 

• Knowledge, experience and/or business degree from university or equivalent in finance and controlling
• Experience from working in retail and/or logistics or transport
• Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
• Agile mindset with a positive attitude to change and meaningful growth
• Inclusive and empathetic towards others whilst encouraging diversity
• Ability to understand your impact to others and contribution to the bigger picture 
• Solid knowledge in Microsoft Excel
• Strong commercial drive and ability to put numbers into action
• Great communication skills in both Swedish and English

Additional Information

This is a full-time position starting with a probationary period of 6 months. Collective agreement with Unionen. The location is based in Eskilstuna, which is part of Logistic Region Europe. As an Operations controller, you report directly to DC Controlling manager. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement. 

Our Retail Distribution Center in Eskilstuna is on an exciting expansion journey! The DC today consists of approximately 450 ambitious, committed, and motivated H&M colleagues who share our values and take responsibility for the logistics operations and distribution of fashion items for our retail customers across Sweden, Norway, and Iceland.

During 2025, our operations will also include stores in Finland and Denmark. We are installing brand new automation to modernize our business to provide a future-proof logistics solution. The aim is to transition to our new more automated processes during 2025.
