Job Description

As a Product Manager, your main responsibility is to ensure that your products are purchased from the right sourcing market and that the "landed cost" is as low as possible. You will tests and compare supplyers, update product calculations, handle negotiations with both existing and new suppliers, and play a crucial role in campaign planning. You are also responsible for adhering to contracts, codes of conduct, laws, and regulations, as well as managing complaints and negotiating credits and compensations.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• You are responsible for creating an attractive, competitive, active, and profitable assortment for all sales channels.
• You work with market/competitor monitoring to ensure competitive pricing in all markets.
• You regularly oversee your suppliers to ensure you have the right purchase price.
• You are responsible for updated product calculations in your assortment.
• You work structurally with cost breakdown-based negotiations.
• You are responsible for both reactive and proactive negotiations with both existing suppliers and for sourcing new ones.
• You actively work with campaign planning for your assortment.
• You are responsible for your part of the purchasing budget.
• You ensure that your suppliers comply with contracts, codes of conduct, and policies.
• You ensure that your assortment complies with applicable laws and regulations.
• Overall responsibility for handling complaints and any negotiations regarding credits and compensations.
• Ensuring financial goals such as margin and turnover rate are met.
• Your authority includes making financial decisions within the budgeted framework and having the right to approve expenses according to approval procedures.

Profile and Experience

• Relevant university/college/higher education and several years of documented experience in similar tasks.
• At least 3 years of independent global purchasing/product development experience where you have set requirements for product development offices and ensured product quality, price, and delivery through good cooperation.
• Extensive knowledge in strategic purchasing, product development and assortment building with broad experience in supplier processing, global sourcing, and negotiation.
• Experience in logistics and customs.
• Previous experience in goods supply and procurement within retail and strategic pricing.
• In-depth knowledge of product development, material knowledge, and production conditions.
• Good computer skills within the Office package, experience with Business Central and Power BI is a plus.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
