Job Description

We are looking for a Better Homes Leader 

As a Better Homes Leader, you are responsible for identifying opportunities based on Life at Home activities, for working across Range Areas (RAs) and set the direction, structure, and principles to create Better Homes. You have a sharp point of view on home furnishing, and you know how to lead a team strategically to support them in developing Better Homes through curated, complete, and coordinated solutions. 

As Better Homes Leader for the RA Dining & Outdoor, you will work closely with our development teams while also connecting to other Range Areas, co-creating together with other Better Homes Leaders and commercial offer leaders. 

We are looking for a person with a high level of home furnishing competence, a driver for change, a coach and strong leader. You can visualize and communicate the range to different stakeholders across IKEA; within IKEA of Sweden, for media & communication purposes, towards Retail and Retail Concept. You enable a coherent and consistent IKEA omnichannel experience where the range- and product stories come through strongly. 

You support and advise in all matters covering style coordination, home-furnishing knowledge, consumer needs and long-term priorities, with emphasis on a complete offer. You support the Product Design Developer and work together with the Range functions to identify range gaps and new opportunities. 

The Better Homes Leader is a position which requires deep knowledge of the IKEA range, home furnishing & interior design, sustainability, global market home furnishing trends, social demographics as well as the ability to turn insights into actions. 

To be successful in this role, we believe that you have a broad understanding of the IKEA media landscape and what works best in each media. You have senior interior design experience from work on a global level with a commercial perspective. 

Qualifications

As a person, you can build good and strong relations between people, create a trustful and creative working environment based on the IKEA values. You are organized and a self-starter and ensure that your deadlines are met. You work independently and lead processes across organizations with clarity and confidence. You are passionate about life at home, customer needs and sustainable living. 

You are structured and well-organized and able to work under pressure and with many tasks ongoing simultaneously. You have good communication and clarifying capabilities. You know how to lead without a formal mandate and work independently and pro-actively, coaching the RA teams towards excellent results. You have competence in visualization, power-point, In design and IKEA internal product and image tools. 

We would like to see that you have the following:

• Knowledge of the IKEA range, home furnishing & interior design
• Deep understanding of people’s life at home, preferably on multiple markets 
• Experience working with CMF’s (colours, materials and finishes) 
• Past experience in indirect leadership, working in large organisations
