Data Protection Lead

As Data Protection Lead, your main mission is to oversee Telavox’s data protection strategy and policies. To do this properly, you need to collaborate internally with colleagues such as the CISO, data analysts, legal, engineers, and critical business stakeholders. You will also collaborate with external partners such as customers, authorities, and regulators.

You will be responsible for the company's group data protection compliance program and data protection strategy overall, where you will develop and implement data protection frameworks, standards, and best practices. Furthermore, you will also be responsible for:

• Monitoring and auditing compliance and performance

• Providing training and awareness to staff and customers;

• Handling requests, incidents, and breaches;

• Supporting the commercial teams concerning customers and data processing;

• Advising on impact assessments and risk mitigation; and

• Continuously staying updated and informed about laws, regulations, and trends.

About you ⭐

To succeed in this role, you must have at least 5+ years of experience in data protection management or a related field. You probably have a Bachelor's degree or higher education in a data-related field, such as computer science, information systems, or law.

The role also requires you to have a combination of technical, legal, and business skills, which will help you perform it effectively.

Furthermore, we are looking for a candidate with:

• A solid understanding of data management principles, processes, tools, data security, and privacy technologies and methods.

• Extensive knowledge of the relevant data protection laws and regulations, with particular focus on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

• Experience from a telco (a big plus!) company or other tech-related company

It’s meritorious if you have professional certifications, such as the Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), the Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), or the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

This role requires fluency in English, and it’s preferred that you have extensive knowledge of another Nordic language and/or Spanish. You will report to the General Counsel.
