Acne Studios is recruiting a Product Developer, with the task of ensuring timely and efficient development processes, from initial design to pre-production fittings. You will ensure smooth and thorough handover from development to production as well as provide valuable support for senior product manager. This is a role where you will get the opportunity to contribute to the creative process and develop close partnership with different departments and suppliers while actively contribute to reach the seasonal sustainability targets in a progressive fashion house.

 

The role

This is a role that entails developing high-end quality collections for designated product groups in close collaboration with the design team. As a product developer, you will source, develop and buy materials as well as negotiate cost and lead-times with suppliers in alignment with senior product manager. You will attend fittings and provide proactive and focused input to ensure quality and fit. Other tasks include enter product data input in internal system PLM. Further, you will maintain a balanced communication and good working process with both internal departments as well as external suppliers and update them on various proto development stages. You will report to senior product manager and belong to the product and design department.

 

This is a full time position.

 

You

We are looking for someone with academic degree, from business school and/or textile education. You have at least 4 years experience from a product development or production role, preferable from high-end fashion brands. Further you are highly proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel. You are efficient, organized as well as detail-oriented. You take full responsibility of your work scope and able to carry your assignments from start to finish. Good costing and negotiating skills are essential. We also see that you are cooperative, flexible and a creative problem solver. You have high aspirations and understand the importance of excellence. You act with integrity at all times and have a natural ability to influence and build trust. You value simplicity over complexity and are guided by impact rather than prestige. You are pragmatic and hands-on and get things done. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where flexibility and teamwork are highly valued. And ideally, you enjoy working in a creative international environment with a wide range of personalities.
