6G Cell Free Architecture Internship

Master thesis scope

We are looking for a Master or PhD student with good knowledge in areas of wireless systems, digital signal processing algorithms and architectures, as well as wireless channel propagation. The scope can be adapted for one person, or potentially for team of two.

Main Responsibilities:

Collaborate with our experienced team to design and optimize an aspect of a Cell Free 6G wireless system. Detailed scope to be defined together with the supervisor.

• Research theory and prior research of Cell Free systems.


• Propose a (novel) concept together with supervisor.


• Utilize simulation tools and software to model key aspects of the concept, evaluate and improve performance and characteristics.


• Prepare reports and presentations for the team.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering/Electronics/related field.


• Strong academic background with a focus on Signal Processing Algorithm and Architectures for wireless systems.


• A good understanding of MIMO, OFDMA and Radio Propagation is a strong merit.


• Familiarity with Python or Matlab based simulation environments or similar.


• Basic understanding of RF principles and antenna theory.


• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

What we offer:

The internship will last for a minimum period of 6 months with a possibility to extend. This is a full-time and paid internship. The intern will work at the Gothenburg Research Center, Huawei Technologies Sweden AB.
