Space Technology Development Engineer

Hydromars AB (publ) is a Swedish company that develops water treatment solutions for manned space missions.

We are looking for a new team member to facilitate the development of our full-scale product.

You will be successful in this role if you possess experience in product development (from design, manufacturing, testing, and analysis to project, budget, and risk management) and solid knowledge of membrane technology , multiphase thermo-fluid-dynamics and water chemistry, and In-situ Resource Utilization (ISRU).

Qualifications

• At least a master’s degree in Space Technology/Space Science/Atmospheric Science/Aerospace Engineering. A doctoral degree is appreciated.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Industrial Engineering
• Experience with multi-physics (coupled fluid, thermal, electrical, and structural) simulation
• Strong understanding of structural statics and dynamics, simulation, and software development
• Excellent knowledge of Computer Aided Designing (CAD) and Finite Element Method (FEM)
• Experience working in a lab environment and clean room facilities.
• Experience in data analysis using MATLAB and microcontroller programming with Arduino is an asset
• Experience in rapid prototyping and 3D printing technology would be appreciated
• Prior experience in space payload development (especially with sounding rockets, drop towers, and parabolic flights (i.e. µG environment) with emphasis on fluid management) would be appreciated
• Strong knowledge of aerospace vehicle design or equivalent is an asset
