Business Controller - Part-Time

As Business Controller you’ll be part of the Finance team at our head office in central Stockholm. Your main responsibility is two-fold; to ensure that we have the right products, in the right place, at the right time and to ensure that we are growing as planned. This entails forecasting sales, analysing performance trends and managing the purchase plan to optimise stock availability and inventory levels. You’ll also be responsible for gross margin analysis and pricing, ensuring that we reach our profitability targets.

You’re working directly with our Head of Finance while collaborating cross-functionally with our Product team to maintain and optimise the production plan as well as our Marketing and Retail teams to ensure that merchandising aligns with sales and inventory forecasts.

• Enable sustainable growth and profitability through excellent inventory management, ensuring the optimal quantity, in the optimal place, at the optimal time and at the best possible price
• Keeping stock availability high and inventory levels low, allowing us to scale our business with minimal cash flow impact

Responsibilities and tasks

• Monthly product sales forecasting as well as performance reporting and analysis
• Continuous purchase planning and budgeting for all products and materials across all markets and channels (online and our own retail)
• Monthly inventory analysis and reporting, ownership of stock levels, weekly coverage and stock turnover
• Accounting support and leadership for sales, COGS and inventory
• Product profitability (gross margin) analysis and pricing in all markets including ownership of the bi-annual sales and gross margin budgeting
• Supporting order placement process, preparing production and material orders
• Analytical support for all things related to product performance, production and inventory
• Reporting and presentation support to management

The ideal candidate

• You have recently graduated or are about to graduate from a BSc or MSc within Business, Finance or similar field with an above-average GPA
• You have relevant working experience from an entry level position (1-2 years maximum), an internship or a part-time role
• You like big datasets and have a natural flair for highlighting trends and finding root causes from your analysis
• You are an eager problem-solver and a self-starter who enjoys a high degree of autonomy and responsibility
• You have a natural interest and above-average skills in Microsoft Excel
• You are highly efficient, structured and organised with a strong attention to detail
• You have a passion for apparel and e-commerce
• You are fluent in English, both written and verbally
