Introduction
Are you a motivated engineer or applied physicist in the field of accelerator physics who is passionate about pioneering advancements in beam loss detection at the high-energy frontier? Take part!
You will join the Accelerator Systems Department (SY), which is responsible for the beam-related technical systems of the CERN accelerators. The SY teams design, build and operate equipment systems in all CERN accelerators, and are engaged in ambitious forward-looking R&D programmes.
The position will be in the Beam Loss Measurement Section (BL) of the Beam Instrumentation Group (BI). You will take part in the development of beam loss detectors for present and future accelerators, with strong involvement on the Future Circular Collider Electron-Positron (FCCee). You will have the opportunity to contribute to various fields including data analysis and simulations, research and development of new beam particles detectors and identify strategic directions for the development of future beam loss monitors.
Functions

Master's degree or PhD or equivalent relevant experience in the field of applied physics or engineering on beam instrumentation or beam losses or a related field.
