Job Description - Client Onboarding & KYC Officer

For our client, a leading global bank, based in Zurich, currently seeking a Client Onboarding & KYC Officer for a 6-month contract from 1 June 2026 to 30 November 2026, based in Zurich.

Role Overview

The role focuses on client onboarding, account maintenance, and periodic KYC reviews, ensuring full compliance with Swiss regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

Support Front Office teams with new client onboarding and account maintenance activities

Advise Front Office and clients on account opening and KYC review processes, including required documentation (client and bank)

Review and validate account opening files and KYC reviews prepared by the Front Office (first line of defence)

Ensure efficient and compliant onboarding and KYC review processes in line with internal policies and regulatory standards

Liaise with internal stakeholders, particularly Front Office and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) teams

Profile & Skills

Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial Services in a similar role (client onboarding, KYC review, account maintenance)

Strong knowledge of KYC standards, client documentation, and Swiss banking regulations

Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively

Working knowledge of Avaloq is a strong advantage

Fluent English and German required

Additional Information

Contract duration: 6 months (fixed-term)

Start date: 1 June 2026

Location: Zurich
