German Language Teacher for children in Wilen bei Wollerau, Freienbach, Switzerland

Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are looking for a freelance German Language Teacher to provide in-person customized lessons to our clients in Wilen bei Wollerau, Switzerland.

Job Information:

• Ref #185925: The student is a 12-year-old child

• Availability: Mon, Fri: 4–7 pm, Wed 1–6 pm, Sat 9–11 am

• Preferred start date: ASAP

• Lesson Frequency: Twice per week

• Lesson Duration: 60 minutes per session

• Student’s location: Lessons are to be held at the student's home in Wilen bei Wollerau, Freienbach, Switzerland

• Current target language level: Beginner

• Native and other spoken languages: Hungarian, English

• Student’s language needs and goals:He started 6th grade in Switzerland this August and needs support to catch up with the German language used at school. He studied German in the first grade, from September 2020 to June 2021.

• Additional Information: His interests include basketball, reading, science, and math.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons

• Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes

• Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals

• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications:

• Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language

• Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field

• Minimum of two years of teaching experience

• Experience teaching children is desired
