Log management specialist (f/m/d)

As part of the Monitoring Product team within the IT organization, the Log Management Specialist is at the forefront of managing and optimizing the company's log management and analytics capabilities. This role is crucial in designing, building, and operating advanced log management solutions (including Elastic Stack, Splunk, and Cribl) to ensure high availability, security, and efficiency of log data processing and analysis. The specialist will align log management strategies with business needs under the vision of the Product Owner, providing actionable insights through dashboards and reports.

Ta mission

• Design, build, and operate scalable log management solutions using Elastic Stack, Cribl, and Splunk to meet business needs and ensure high performance.
• Lead the onboarding of logs from Windows/Linux applications and containerized environments (OpenShift, AKS), ensuring seamless integration and enhancing deployment efficiency.
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to document current and future log management use cases, distinguishing those best suited for Elastic Stack versus Splunk based on performance and cost.
• Continuously monitor system performance and user feedback to implement optimizations that enhance the efficiency and utility of log management solutions.
• Provide training and ongoing support to IT and business users, developing comprehensive documentation and best practices to aid user adoption and maximize the benefits of log management technologies.
  

Ton profil

• University degree in a technical field with a minimum of 5 years of experience administering primarily on-premises multi-user environments, including expertise in designing and implementing log management systems.
• At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Elastic Stack in a production environment, including log collection, processing, storage, and visualization. Experience with Cribl and Splunk is a plus.
• Extensive experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry, ensuring comprehensive monitoring and alerting.
• Strong experience in Linux administration, essential for managing log management infrastructure.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French is a plus, enhancing communication within the diverse team.
