Job Description - Paralegal

Job Purpose:
Provides key legal support activities requiring formal education training and experience. Will have knowledge and expertise regarding the legal system and procedural law which qualify them to do some work of a legal nature but will work under the supervision of a qualified legal counsel.


Major Accountabilities
Paralegal services:

Legal support to contracts 3rd party and intercompany agreements for Swiss Entities including drafting reviewing proofreading as may be required.

Support on various legal documents such as e.g. CDAs PoAs UBO confirmations and authorizations certificates protocols.

Maintains respective documentation including proper organization of files.

Dealing and reliable handling of notarization process.

Proof reading of legal documents.

Support and execution of special projects.

Manages the document flow with involved stakeholders and arrange for signature of documents; ensures contract lifecycle management and maintains the contract database inc. physical & digital archiving system.


Work processes in own area of responsibility:

Supports optimization of current processes and/or introduction of new or modified processes. Maintains the overview of timelines and deliverables in all assigned projects.

Acts as a team member for legal projects.


Interaction:

Informs communicates advises and supports the team and associates from outside the team on processes guidelines and services that are specific to the department.

Accommodates customers specific needs.

Is a professional partner to people within and outside the department.

Requirements

Education / work experience:
Paralegal Certificate or Commercial training (e.g. Swiss Association of Commercial Employees business school) or equivalent. (e.g. Swiss Matura plus business experience or Bachelor (preference Legal)
Experience as Paralegal or Administrative Specialist with paralegal experience or similar.
Basic legal training. (Paralegal course or acquired on the job)


Languages:
Fluent in English and German. (spoken and written)
Familiar with legal terminology.
Knowledge of other languages advantageous.

Besides the above it is crucial that candidates:
Are aware that they need to be in the office at least 4 days a week
Are native German speakers or have professional proficiency
Do have Swiss legal / paralegal experience






A master 's degree in computer sciences, Software Engineering or equivalent. At least 7 years of experience working in software engineering of which at least 5 in a software architecture or solution architecture role. Experience in end-to-end digital solution design and development, using modern architectural styles, patterns, and practices. Practical knowledge of various backend, frontend and integration techniques, technologies, and languages. Proven expertise with cloud (native) architectures and well-architected frameworks, including security. Well-rounded knowledge of cloud products and services (Microsoft Azure or other leading platform), and hands-on deployment, automation, and administration experience. Experience architecting both bespoke solutions as well as composed solutions, with sufficient focus on fault tolerance, recoverability, performance, interoperability and other desirable non-functional requirements. Integration knowledge including experience designing solutions around APIs, event-based paradigms, usage of iPaaS, Data-centric mindset, constantly thinking about how a solution s data can be easily exposed to enable future products and use-cases and speed up business decision-making. Experience in a regulated environment is a plus. Understanding the responsibility of solution architecture in achieving security and compliance goals. Some experience architecting solutions with AI or GenAI aspects. Good understanding of product management, agile principles, and development methodologies. Passion for working in multidisciplinary teams (squads), embracing different perspectives to drive better outcomes. Able to inspire and rally commitment for novel ideas and approaches. Strong business acumen, communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
