Job Description - Share Scheme Specialist

Main Purpose:
We are recruiting a Share Scheme Specialist to support the management of all share schemes across the Trafigura group including efficient administration, compliant accounting and reporting, legal and tax analysis/review and handling employee queries and communication.



Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:



Educational Qualifications, Competencies & Background:
  • Circa 5 years in house share plan experience or relevant working experience within a Big 4 as a specialist in long term incentive plan / share plans.
  • Experience crafting and implementing process across multiple countries and ensuring delivery against tight deadlines.
  • Tax and/or legal experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail is needed.
  • Resilient, strong communication skills and comfortable talking to senior managers.
  • Organised, structured and able to multitask
  • Analytical and highly numerical skills.
  • Proficient Excel skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a small team sat in different locations.
  • Discretion and maturity as handling very confidential information.
Responsibilities:
  • Managing the share database that includes history on all share awards, cash payments and future vesting schedules.
  • Validation of share documentation for issuance to employees, e.g. share award letters, annual share statements (including leaver shareholders).
  • Assist in the execution of annual share scheme cycle e.g. buybacks, share issues and employee communication.
  • Financial analysis to support Board decision making; eg award budgets and future liabilities.
  • Handle shareholder related queries.
  • Presentations to employees on plan mechanics to raise understanding and appreciation.
  • Prepare data and information to support senior managements conversations with tax authorities and regulators.
  • Support financial control areas including monthly reconciliation process and analysis of data for Group Accounting and Audit.
  • Review tax/legal advice and provide guidance on how to formalise a strategy addressing the relevant concern.
  • Participate in all share scheme related projects including system enhancements, automation projects, process improvements and legal and tax advice reviews.
Key Relationships and Department Overview:


The role interacts with more than 1000 shareholders located across the globe.
