Zubi is a third-generation Appenzell family business. Over the last 70 years, the shoe store has developed into a sports and leisure provider. Zubi now employs around 200 people and operates five locations, three outlets and two online shops.

Your team
Your new home is an agile, young, five-person development team. You are part of the “E-Commerce” business unit. This includes a business process team, customer service and a content team. What sets your team apart? Your new work colleagues are always looking for new solutions, work very dynamically and have a lot of fun with our projects. Ah and yes, we work according to Scrum!

Your mission

As part of the team, you will drive the development of Zubi's e-commerce landscape. You will work on our in-house developed solution, which consists of a Kubernetes-based microservice backend (Golang) and a single-page application frontend (NextJS). Our goal is to provide our customers with an efficient and unique omni-channel shopping experience. We achieve this by optimizing all touchpoints along the customer journey - from marketing to the online shop and customer service to logistics.

Your main tasks

• Operation and further development of the cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker, Google Cloud Platform, Envoy Proxy).
• Responsible for the preparation and execution of deployments.
• Further development of the CI / CD environment using GitLab.
• Expansion and Evangelism of Test Driven Development.
• Collaborate with the Solution Architect to ensure platform security.

Your backpack

• Sound knowledge of cloud technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Google Cloud)
• Several years of experience with Git and Docker.
• Solid skills in Golang and MySQL.
• Proficient in backend development and REST APIs.
• Experience with Typescript, Envoy Proxy and Ambassador is a plus.
