Hotel General Manager

The Drei Berge Hotel, a 19-room boutique hotel nestled in the heart of the picturesque and panoramic village of Mürren, in the Swiss Alps, is looking for its next: General Manager (w/m) We are seeking a mountain-enthusiast and experienced General Manager to lead our team and uphold the high standards of hospitality that define Drei Berge Hotel.
In spite of its recent reopening, the Drei Berge Hotel has been awarded the title of 'Best Bedding in the World' by Tatler magazine and has garnered extensive press coverage worldwide, including mentions in NZZ, Financial Times, New York Times, La Republicca, Le Monde, and Milk Decoration. As the General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of hotel operations under the leadership and management of the Paris office, including guest services, staff management, financial performance and facility maintenance. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Oversee all aspects of hotel operations to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and quality
- Supervise and participate to all guest services to ensure customer satisfaction
- Provide leadership and direction to all hotel staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment and ensuring high levels of employee morale and productivity
- Ensure that the services offered are in line with the objectives set by the Paris office
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including health and safety standards, employment laws, and industry best practices. Profile:
- Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field
- Demonstrated experience of over 5 years in managing 4-star hotels
- Proficiency in German is highly desirable, fluency in English is required. Proficiency in French would also be valued
- Detail-oriented and hands-on, you consistently engage with clients and oversee the team and you possess excellent communication skills
- Effective leadership and team management abilities, capable of motivating and inspiring a diverse team of employees
- Proficiency in analysis and financial management
