IT Systems Administrator 100% - Level 1 The role will be based in Zug (Switzerland) and is reporting to the IT Services Manager.
Primary Purpose of the role The primary purpose of the Systems Administrator role is to provide end-user support services, focusing on monitoring system performance, resolving technical issues, and contributing to implementing new IT solutions. This position will provide a critical support function by ensuring system reliability and performance to meet organisational needs.
Key Responsibilities: - System Maintenance : Regularly check infrastructure and network systems to ensure functionality. Work with the global team to address any vulnerabilities.
- Issue Resolution: Act as the first point of contact for internal IT inquiries and system problems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Technical Support : Provide technical support to users across all levels of the organisation, including end-user support services. Assist with setting up and configuring new systems and hardware.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation for system installations, configurations, upgrades and troubleshooting procedures.
- Security Monitoring : Monitor system performance and security, promptly reporting any suspicious activities and potential threats.
- Project Assistance : Support IT projects by assisting other team members with tasks needed to implement new IT infrastructure and solutions.
- Continuous Improvement : Contribute to continuously improving system administration procedures and policies within the organisation.
Requirements :
- Education and Certifications : Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred. Relevant certifications (such as CompTIA A+ and Microsoft Certified IT Professional) will be highly regarded.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a systems administration role or similar. Experience with Windows/Linux server environments, Active Directory, and basic networking technologies is essential.
