Job Description



  This is a position for Reata Swiss International GmbH, a Biogen subsidiary

 

About the role:

The primary responsibility of the Lead, Global Logistics is to manage GxP compliant logistics processes globally. This includes inbound and outbound logistics, management of logistics service providers, import and export expertise including specific process knowledge such as Temporary Importation under Bond, Free Trade Zones, Inbound Processing Reliefs, and global shipment coordination.

You will report to the Senior Director, International Supply Chain

Location - Baar, Switzerland

Additional responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:

  • Ensure an efficient material flow across logistics network: from starting materials through drug substance to finished goods.
  • Ensure processes are adherent to Health Authority requirements and guidelines, such as Good Distribution and Storage Practices
  • Work closely with other key stakeholders to ensure accurate shipping studies are in place
  • Ensure efficient management of logistics activities
  • Manage secure shipping lanes through prevention and compliance
  • Work closely with the Service Providers, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Quality and Operations to ensure customer requirements are being met.
  • Implement KPI to measure performance and ensure cost effectiveness
  • Accurately manage transport validation activities for the product
  • Co-ordinate and manage internal and external parties to deliver projects as needed to meet business requirements.

 

What you'll do:

  • You demonstrate commitment and support for company goals, objectives, and procedures
  • Represent the company by developing collaborative relationships with site personnel, colleagues, and vendors
  • Demonstrate professionalism and adherence to moral, ethical, and quality principles
  • Participate in corporate and departmental meetings
  • Comply with applicable regulations, GMP and corporate policies and procedures

 

Qualifications



 

  • Minimum BA / BS or equivalent scientific degree is required; a graduate degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 3+ years of GxP Pharmaceutical industry experience in roles of increasing responsibility, preferably logistics-based roles and working with Contract Manufacturing Organizations
  • Comprehensive knowledge of regulations and best practices for pharmaceuticals, along with an understanding of global import and export regulations and requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate, proactively respond to trends and/or shifts in the external environment (e.g., regulatory, business partner relationships, industry standards)
  • Appreciation for all aspects of the pharmaceutical business, from research through sales and marketing, with the ability to operate cross-functionally and/or globally to achieve Company
