Job Description - Software Engineer - Customer Management Platform

As part of its ongoing growth, Exoscale is hiring a Software Engineer for its customer management platform.

This position focuses on the internal tooling around customer handling. A range of topics are covered: onboarding, customer data handling, metered billing, invoicing, support, and more.

Some of the challenges you will be working on:

  • Design and maintain our customer management platform
  • Design and maintain our usage metering platform
  • Improve the auditability of our systems
  • Cooperate closely with business-focused teams
  • Take part to BI and accounting activities
  • Participate in code & changes reviews

Ideal candidates:

  • Are strongly familiar with data modelling and querying (SQL and other data stores)
  • Have experience with Clojure programming
  • Are able to understand Python code
  • Are familiar with stream processing concepts and systems such as Apache Kafka and Kafka Streams
  • Are able to build simple web-based user interfaces
  • Are familiar with common application operation topics such as CI systems and runtime environments
