DevOps Lead / Manager

Main Activities and Responsibilities:


• Continuous Improvement and Maintenance: Enhance and sustain common delivery components and processes (Azure DevOps with a focus on CI/CD, Terraform modules, and Prisma Cloud policies) for our client.
• Strategic Direction: Define and coordinate the software development lifecycle, emphasizing DevOps strategies.
• Best Practices Establishment: Implement and refine best practices for DevOps across various products.
• Feedback Integration: Continuously improve best practices by incorporating personal research, feedback from agile teams, and other departments.
• Adherence Assurance: Ensure agile teams follow established best practices concerning processes and technology.
• Collaboration and Coordination: Promote collaboration and coordinate software development activities across all technology departments.
• Assessments and Reporting: Conduct recurring assessments of agile teams' adherence to best practices and present results, including prioritizing next steps with the Product Manager.
• Health and Quality Reporting: Gather and present information on product health and quality (e.g., product KPIs) to management.
• Quality and Technical Oversight: Oversee the quality and technical approach of agile product teams.
• Evaluation of Tools and Processes: Assess new tools, technologies, and processes to enhance the delivery process for all custom developments.
• Budget and Supplier Management: Manage budgets, suppliers, and contracts related to software development.

Education & Qualifications:


• Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.


Work Experience:


• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps professional.
• 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
• 1+ year of experience with Terraform.
• 1+ year of experience with Azure DevOps pipelines (YAML).


Languages:


• Fluent in English.


Technology Proficiency:


• Cloud Providers: Microsoft Azure (must-have) / Amazon Web Services (nice-to-have).
• Application Hosting: Kubernetes (Helm/Docker), Azure App Service, Virtual Machines.
• CI/CD: Azure DevOps (YAML).
• IaC: Terraform.
• Logging: Splunk, Application Insights.
• Programming Languages: Powershell, .NET, C#, SQL.
• Tools: Azure DevOps, Sonar Cloud, Confluence/Atlassian, Prisma Cloud, LeanIX, Splunk, SignalFx, Edgio, AppScan, SendGrid.
• Databases: Azure SQL Database.
