Tasks

As a Data Analyst & Project Lead you will work at the heart of our Operations with the following tasks:

• Leading SWISS involvement in European SESAR Research projects targeting non-CO2 emissions and sustainability in Flight Operations and ATM

• Collaborate with important industry partners, e.g. ANSPs, Aircraft Manufacturers and Research Institutions
• Develop innovative and tailored solutions to business problems and test them in practice by developing proof of concepts and refine them into productive tools
• Technical support in back- and front end development for existing and new prototype tools
• Visualize and present complex information to internal and external stakeholders and partners
• Generate insights from operational data sets & trial results leading to operational improvements in collaboration with other Operations departments (e.g. Flight Dispatch) and Corporate Responsibility.

Requirements

We are looking for a motivated new colleague to join our Operations Research & ATM team, eager to pursue innovative ideas, exploring new technologies, and applying them in practice.

• At least 5 years of experience as a business analyst or data analyst, knowledge of project management is an asset.

• Master degree with focus in aviation, engineering, data science or environmental sciences, or Bachelor degree with significant professional experience in job related area
• Affinity for new technologies and understanding of modern IT practices(DevOps, Cloud, etc.)
• Experience in one or more of the following programming languages: Python, C#, a front-end framework(e.g. Angular/dash), understanding of SQL & Databases
• Strong communication and argumentation skills.
• Good knowledge of data visualization and techniques.
• Self-confidence with very proactive attitude, flexibility and creativity, acts as team player.
• Written and spoken fluency in English, German as an asset.
