Job Description - Construction Manager

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with over 10 years of expertise, specifically within the pharmaceutical industry. The role is based in Schaffhuausen with a global client of ours. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on security, ensuring that all construction processes adhere to the budget, safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
Manage the entire construction process for buildings and infrastructure projects from the client's perspective, ensuring all phases are executed efficiently and effectively.
Provide direction to Construction Management (CM) firms, General Contractors (GCs), subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring alignment with project goals and standards.
Act as the key liaison between engineering teams, architects, and suppliers to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage resources, scope, and planning of work schedules. Oversee construction phasing and sequencing to ensure timely project completion.
Continuously monitor building progress and costs, providing regular updates to stakeholders and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Check the quality of deliveries and workmanship, ensuring that all construction meets or exceeds industry standards and project specifications.
Maintain and promote a safe work site, implementing and enforcing safety protocols to protect all team members and site visitors.
Support technical discussions, manage changes, and oversee the implementation of construction methods, ensuring all technical aspects are addressed efficiently.
What you need to bring:
Over 10 years of experience in construction management, with a strong preference for experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a comparable field.
Fluency in German and English is essential for effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, resource management, and safety regulations specific to the pharmaceutical industry.
Proven ability to lead and manage multiple teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
