Automation Engineer

The Automation Engineer ensures optimized equipment performance by maintaining and/or improving equipment and line controls. He/She drives innovation and improvement as well as manages resources to ensure safety, availability, and quality.

JOB RESPONSILIBILIES:

• Leverage advanced technologies to optimize production processes, enhance operational efficiency, and accelerate innovation
• Lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with key functions, famiiliar with a culture of continuous improvement

Project Identification and Design

• Establish project goals with a large variety of stakeholders
• Successfully implement projects and carry out feasibility studies to select the best option. Calculate costing
• Ensure end to end success of applicable projects including: meeting imposed deadlines with good time management, planning and carrying out installation (including acceptance trials and validation), providing documentation and instruction manuals and ensuring proper closure management of the project.

Mechanical Design

• Design equipment that is: effective, safe to use, easy to maintain, cost effective up front and on-going, durable, flexible, able to produce quality products, consistent with our normal operating procedures and supportive of commonality of spare parts
• Support, maintain and enhance pilot plant automation systems to accelerate product and process development

JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

• Degree in Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related extensive experience
• Minimum 3-5 years process, operations, and manufacturing experience in in the field of Automation in Industry dealing with Siemens & Omron PLCs, Danfoss, Omron, Siemensâ variable free drives VFDs, sensors, PLC programming skills, and ability to effectively read and understand wiring plans plus PLC user programs. Experience with a CAD software (catia, solid works)
• Strong project management skills including planning, execution, risk management, and proven experience in leading complex projects
• Basic Knowledge of food and beverage organization: Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Environment, Engineering, Health and Safety
