The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Process Engineer to join our team of engineers and process enthusiasts. We develop manufacture and run production equipment for the cosmetics food and pharma market to provide high quality products for our customers and consumers. Our team is currently working on scaling up our first commercial production plant to bring products to market in the Fine Fragrance sector. Our product has the potential to reshape this industry.

The Impact

As a Process Engineer at Microcaps you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing our encapsulation process systems and help us rapidly scale beyond the current capacity to fulfil customer demand. With your innovative spirit and industrial experience you will bring new ideas and approaches to the chemical process of our production equipment. Your professional experience with clean process plants makes you a key player in improving and upgrading our continuous running process whilst maintaining the highest quality product output.

Tasks

• Be part of a multidisciplinary team that designs develops assembles tests and commissions novel process equipment for microencapsulation processes.
• Lead or support process validation activities including protocol development execution and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) work instructions and process documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams including both internal and external experts to achieve project objectives.
• Perform testing validation and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues and challenges.
• Stay current with industry trends technologies and best practices to continuously improve design processes and outcomes.

Requirements

• Strong technical background with a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering/Process Engineering or related field or higher. Apprentice background also welcome
• Have a 5 years background in process engineering (apprentices highly encouraged) preferably in the food cosmetics or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Strong technical expertise in process design optimization and troubleshooting with knowledge of relevant engineering principles and methodologies.
• Proficiency in process modeling and simulation software (e.g. MATLAB or similar tools).
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards applicable to manufacturing processes (e.g. FDA ISO).
• Project Management experience.
• Team player and excited to work in a rapidly growing process technology company
• Possess a work permit in Switzerland

• You are intrinsically motivated to design technical solutions for challenging chemical process problems and have a track record of doing so.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
• Feel comfortable communicating in both German and English.
