Global Quality Systems and Training Manager

Become our Global Quality Systems and Training Manager , leading the charge in enhancing and fortifying Sazerac's quality management system. This role will be based out of our Lucerne, Switzerland office. Infuse our culture with quality standards, ensuring each team member contributes to superior products and services. Craft and deploy quality policies, design roadmaps for continual enhancement, and develop our company’s global quality training curriculum. Key Responsibilities:

Training program development:

• Identify training needs and accordingly design development plan, programs and content for the purpose of enhanced implementation of quality policies and standards for all functions in partnership with HR. Creates the company’s quality training curriculum.
• Develop competencies in the organization to autonomously execute quality investigations with an objective to eliminate defects, reduce waste and ensure quality consistency for an enhanced consumer product experience.
• Oversee development of training courses by fellow team members and personally creates new training material. Delivers in-person and recorded training sessions.

Quality management system:

• Global stewardship and owner of Sazarac Quality Management System (SQMS)
• Develop and update the company’s Quality and Food Safety policies, procedures and work instructions. Centralize documentation, ensuring ease of access, use, and maintenance by the organization.
• Implement quality instructions and drive adherence to SQMS. Ensures new quality processes and procedures are launched with clearly defined training plans and materials.

Quality Data Systems:

• Own existing digital quality data systems.
• Establish a digital quality data roadmap to improve performance visibility and drive continuous improvement programs in partnership with product development, manufacturing and IT.
• In collaboration with IT implement new digital quality data systems.

Quality metrics:

• Design and maintain quality scorecards across the organization, ensuring information is reported accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform trend analysis on quality data to support rapid issue resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action plan development that will eliminate risks/defects, lower cost of poor quality and enable continuous improvement.

Mentoring and development:

• Support hiring, mentoring and development of quality personnel.

Compliance:

• Ensure Sazerac's quality management system complies with all legal and regulatory requirements for Quality, Food Safety and R&D activities. This includes our 3rd party customers or new countries and any changes in the rules and regulations.
• Act as company liaison to ISO registrar and external auditors, maintaining external audit calendar and ensuring all sites comply with audit response requirements.
• · Conduct quality management system audits at internal plants, suppliers, co-manufacturers and co-packers to identify gaps in the systems and opportunities to improve quality and food safety.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology or related scientific field
• Food Safety Certification or proven experience working with Global Food Safety standards
• Strong computer skills and high comfort using technology and systems
• Ability to quickly learn new systems/processes
• Strong analytical and technical skills
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
• Excellent oral & written communication skills
• Experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry or CPG overall
• Implementation or project management experience
• 5 years' experience in Quality System Implementation.
• 5 years' ISO/HACCP implementation/management experience
• 5 years' experience working with external/internal auditors
• 3 years' Lab/QC or related experience

Preferred

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry or CPG overall
• 3 years' experience driving change in an organization
• 3 years' training, coaching, and curriculum development.

Physical requirements

• Ability to travel (up to 25%)
• The position requires the individual to work out of our Lucerne, Switzerland office.
