Job Description - Associate Director, Medical Affairs, MS

Job Description

The role may contribute to key data generation and communication initiatives. Specifically, the role is responsible for understanding, contributing to and communicating to the affiliates the Global Medical Strategy (which is embodied in the Data Generation Plan, Life-Cycle Management Strategies, Publication Plan and Regulatory Strategy ). S/he is expected to translate the Global Medical Strategy to the region and drive execution of the plan accordingly. In order to succeed, it is expected that the role would have a full understanding of the regional needs and medical opinions/concerns. The EU+ Medical Team will provide medical subject matter expertise and partner closely with the regional marketing and market access teams. The Associate Medical Director will help organize and execute the Regional Medical Product Teams and support the EU+ Medical Lead.

Responsibilities

• Support the EU+ Medical Lead in Global ICP development and help ensure cross-functionally aligned development and execution of EU+ medical plan in the region (Both strategies and tactics)
• Support the EU+ Medical Lead who is the Regional Medical expert; activities may include support/participate/lead cross-functional meetings, internal/external medical education/training activities, scientific ad-boards
• Support the EU+ Medical Lead in conceptualizing, initiating and leading local/regional data generation in addition to reviewing and supporting of local/regional medical research protocol development prior to, during and after the LCMF
• Support the EU+ Medical in Understanding/Capturing EU+ medical insights; help develop, shape and then deliver communication guidance to cross-functional partners and affiliates

Qualifications

• At least 6+ years’ experience in medical affairs experience in a European markets (medical affairs experience and/or equivalent clinical development and/or medical practice experience in MS).

The Associate Director Medical EU+ is part of the MS EU+ Medical Team which serves as the bridge between the Global Medical and Affiliate Medical teams. This role should have a clear understanding of the needs and medical views of the affiliates, and will also be part of the larger Global Medical team.
