Azure Cloud Engineer (English speaking)

For a long-term internal cloud engineering project at a leading consulting company in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer.

• Ensure the stability, security and reliable operation of Azure cloud platforms, including a Swiss Sovereign Cloud environment.

• Design, implement and maintain Azure infrastructure and cloud services.

• Develop and enhance Infrastructure as Code solutions using Bicep.

• Build and improve cloud automation using PowerShell, Python and Ansible.

• Support cloud operations, monitoring, troubleshooting and continuous service improvement.

• Integrate business applications into Azure cloud environments.

• Support hybrid cloud infrastructures across Windows and Linux environments.

• Independently manage assigned technical workstreams.

• Collaborate with engineering teams, application owners and other stakeholders.

• Promote automation, operational excellence and Azure cloud engineering best practices.

• Several years of experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer, Azure Infrastructure Engineer or in a comparable role.

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure administration and platform engineering.

• Excellent knowledge of:

  • Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud services
  • Azure DevOps
  • Bicep
  • Ansible
  • PowerShell
  • Python

• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code and cloud automation.

• Strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Good knowledge of Azure networking concepts.

• Experience with hybrid cloud environments.

• Strong troubleshooting and operational support capabilities.

• Ability to independently take ownership of technical initiatives.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Fluent English skills.
