BI - Data Engineer

For our Lugano Branch (CH), we are seeking professionals to join our organization. We are seeking talented candidates with solid hands-on experience in Power BI and Python, combined with a strong understanding of data warehousing and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain insightful dashboards and reports using Power BI, ensuring data is visualized effectively for business stakeholders
• ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Automation of data processing, validation, and anomaly detection workflows
• Analyze and transform large volumes of data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency
• Collaborate with data engineers and other teams to maintain and enhance data warehouse solutions
• Write and optimize SQL queries to support analytical needs and data extraction
• Monitor data quality and implement checks to ensure the reliability of business-critical datasets

Tech Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering
• 5+ years of experience with Data Warehouse solutions, ideally in the Financial Services/Banking sector
• Proven experience in developing reports and dashboards using PowerBI
• Proficiency in Python, particularly for data wrangling, automation, and validation tasks
• Strong working knowledge of SQL, especially from an analyst perspective (writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting queries)
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and experience working with data warehouses
• Experience in ETL processes is a plus
• Familiarity with Oracle databases and PL/SQL is advantageous but not mandatory
• Good communication skills in both Italian and English, written and spoken

Location Requirement
