Job Description - Brand Manager, Switzerland and Austria
### Overview\n\n \n\nThe Brand Manager for Switzerland and Austria is responsible for developing and executing strategic brand and tactical plans, driving the management of an Alnylam product in the amyloidosis therapeutic area, and leading impactful marketing and event initiatives across both countries. This role acts as the primary brand expert, ensuring strong alignment between the local CHAT (Switzerland/Austria) team and the broader European organization.\n\n \n\nThis is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity, offering a unique chance to make a meaningful impact within a highly innovative and patient-focused organization.\n\n \n\nThe position is hybrid office-based in Zug, Switzerland, with close collaboration across Austria.\n\n \n\nInternational travel may be required on a limited basis, including travel to Austria. This position will report to the Country Manager CHAT.\n\n \n\n### Key Responsibilities\n\n \n\n * Implement local strategic brand and tactical plans for Austria and Switzerland, focused on an Alnylam product in ATTR Amyloidosis (with strong focus on Cardiologists).\n * Lead the execution of marketing activities, including creation and localization of materials (English, German, French), omnichannel projects, and management of assets in Veeva Promomats.\n * Manage account plans in line with country strategy in partnership with Commercial and Medical Affairs team.\n * Lead high-quality execution of congresses, events, and promotional activities, ensuring compliance and effective post-event documentation.\n * Represent Alnylam at national congresses and events as needed.\n * Support contract creation and management for marketing and event-related activities.\n * Collaborate closely with regional Product Leads and cross-functional teams to ensure market insights effectively inform strategy and execution.\n * Track and analyze KPIs to ensure effective execution of key tactics and enable timely early course correction.\n * Provide input to local market access and medical activities.\n * Ensure all activities are conducted to the highest ethical standards and in full compliance with local laws and regulations.\n\n\n\n## \n\n### Qualifications\n\n \n\n * Proven experience in brand management and marketing within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry; experience in cardiology marketing is a plus.\n * Demonstrated experience in planning, organizing, and executing high-quality events and congresses, with a proven ability to deliver impactful outcomes.\n * Strong knowledge of specialty care commercialization, particularly in the rare disease space in Switzerland and Austria.\n * Proficient understanding of the Swiss and Austrian compliance and regulations environment.\n * Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and digital marketing tools.\n * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\n * Strong business acumen, with the ability to interpret and leverage data effectively, alongside a solid understanding of financial principles.\n * Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work structured and autonomous manner.\n * Willingness to travel within Switzerland and internationally (including Austria) on a limited basis.\n * Bachelor\u0027s or Master\u0027s degree required; education in science or genetics is an advantage\n * Fluency in German and English is required; French is a plus.\n * Hands-on experience in key account management and sales is an advantage.\n\n\n\nAbout Alnylam: Alnylam Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: ALNY) has led the translation of RNA interference (RNAi) into a whole new class of innovative medicines with the potential to transform the lives of people afflicted with rare and more prevalent diseases.
