We are looking for a Bicycle Mechanic / Bicycle Assembler for 30 hours per week Location: Ohlauer Straße 42, 10999 Berlin - Social Enterprise Kreuzberg

We will support you with patience, providing gradually increasing tasks and training according to your needs, with the goal of leading you towards permanent employment. The position requires that you receive funding from the Job Center under §16e/§16i of the German Social Code (SGB II).
In our bike workshop in Kreuzberg, we sell and repair bikes, focusing primarily on donated bikes to give them a second life.
Your main tasks in our bike shop include:
Picking up or receiving donated bicycles and assessing their condition
Preparing bicycles for sale, such as replacing parts
Inspecting customers' bicycles to identify any defects
Repairing bicycles for our customers, including tasks like changing tubes or tires, replacing brake pads, changing chains, repairing gears, installing or repairing lighting systems, and more, depending on what is needed
You will have experienced team leaders and an instructor by your side to help you perform your tasks accurately and expand your skills. The position is temporary for 2 years and requires funding under §16i or §16e of the German Social Code (SGB II).
Vocational training or initial work experience as a bicycle mechanic/assembler, or in similar professions, such as several years of experience in social bicycle workshops
Driver’s license (Class B) desirable
Basic computer skills desirable (e.g., for time tracking and searching for parts)
Motivation and strong customer orientation
