As we enter the next phase of growth and expand into new regulated offerings, we’re looking for a Chief Risk & Compliance Officer (CRCO) who thrives in a digital-first environment, combines deep regulatory know-how with a pragmatic mindset, and wants to shape the future of investing together with us.
Your responsibilities
Work closely with the CEO, CTO and Product Owners to enable innovation by ensuring compliance and mitigating risks
Proactively support the launch of new features and solutions from a regulatory standpoint
Own and evolve our compliance and risk framework, covering financial markets regulation, data protection and operational risks
Lead and develop a small team of compliance and risk management professionals
Maintain and develop our internal control system (ICS), directives, policies and regulatory governance in a lean, practical way
With your team, act as primary advisor on compliance and AML matters across the company, including edge-case client risk assessments
Serve as the main point of contact for regulatory authorities (FINMA, auditors, etc.)
Lead regulatory audits and license projects
Draft and manage internal compliance documentation, model contracts, and staff trainings
Your profile
Master’s degree in Law, Business, or related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in a compliance or risk role at a FINMA-regulated institution (bank, asset manager, pension provider) or a supervisory/audit authority
Strong understanding of Swiss financial regulation (FINIG, FIDLEG, AMLA, data protection)
Knowledge in occupational pensions (BVG, vested benefits, 1e schemes) and/or knowledge of banking regulation, including Liquidity Ordinance (LiqO) and Capital Adequacy Ordinance (CAO) are a strong plus
Entrepreneurial mindset: you enable growth by ensuring compliance in efficient ways, by helping us take the right decisions aware of relevant risks, and by supporting us mitigate risks
Structured, hands-on and self-driven working style – you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves
Excellent communication skills in both German and English
You are a team player but also confident in making independent decisions
