The Position

The Clinical Demand & Supply Planning organization is dedicated to ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time every time. Our critical mission guarantees that no patient is without treatment and no clinical trial is delayed.

As a Clinical Supply Chain Specialist (CSCS), you will support the clinical study supply chain for Investigational Medicinal Products (IMP). In this role, you will assist in establishing an effective and cost-conscious clinical supply chain while maintaining a patient-centric focus. You will help ensure the reliable supply of IMP from the start of a trial through its completion, working closely with stakeholders like Technical Development Teams and Clinical Operations to align activities with project milestones.

The Opportunity

In this globally-oriented role providing uniform service across Clinical Supply (PTDS), you will coordinate planning and execution activities to support clinical trials:

• Support demand and supply planning, inventory management, and distribution requirements in systems like SAP and CLARA for all IMPs.

• Help adjust near and mid-range plans based on clinical assumptions while identifying potential risks and costs.

• Act as a point of contact for clinical supply topics, collaborating with Technical Development and Clinical Core Teams.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timelines for clinical trial setup and supply are met.

• Assist in optimizing the supply chain by utilizing simulation techniques and suggesting study design adjustments during protocol ideation.

• Monitor drug supply-related budget planning and ensure all regulatory and quality requirements are included in the supply plan.

• Adopt agile ways of working and support stakeholder management to align with the molecule’s Clinical Development Plan.

Who You Are

You are a proactive, collaborative, and analytical professional eager to contribute to complex supply chains and support continuous improvement:

• Education & Experience: You hold an Academic degree (preferably in Life Sciences, Business, or Engineering) and bring 2–3 years of experience in Clinical Supply Chain, Planning, or a similar discipline.

• Technical Knowledge: You have a foundational understanding of clinical trial design, demand forecasting, and supply planning, with exposure to ERP systems like SAP.

• Core Competencies: You possess clear communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify technical information for various audiences.

• Problem Solving: You demonstrate solid analytical skills and a logical approach to troubleshooting, backed by proficiency in Excel.

• Collaborative Mindset: You enjoy working in cross-functional, global teams and are comfortable managing tasks with guided supervision.
