Job Description - Compliance & Risk Officer (60 - 100%)

Your area of responsibility

Conduct and maintain regular Compliance monitoring & reviews according to the EIP Compliance Monitoring Plan
Review of Marketing Material in line with applicable Swiss and foreign laws and regulations
Conduct Cross-Border Clarifications & Pre-Travel Approvals
Support the preparation and execution of EIP’s annual risk & control self-assessment in close collaboration with risk owners
Support in preparing regular reports to various stakeholders including Senior Leadership Team, Board of Directors and external auditors/regulators
Provide administrative support for the Corporate Risk Management activities, incl. maintenance of EIPs Risk Management tool/internal control system
Support the maintanance of EIPs policy framework
Conduct regular training sessions on various Compliance & Risk topics
Act as point of contact for various business units on all compliance and risk-related matters,
Follow a forward-looking approach screening the Swiss and European market for regulatory developments that might affect EIP

Your skills and experience

University degree in Law, or a related discipline, additional education in Compliance and/or Risk Management is a plus
Approx. 3 -5 years of relevant compliance experience in asset management, ideally with exposure to alternative investment structures and within private markets, as well as experience with risk management topics
Strong knowledge of Swiss financial market laws and regulations (FinIA, FinSA, CISA, BVV2, AMLA), and corresponding European regulation is a plus
Broad understanding of the various compliance topics at an asset manager for collective investment schemes
Interested in operational risk management topics, some basic knowledge is a plus
Experience with investment foundations and knowledge of the respective regulatory requirements is considered a plus
Knowledge of the financial markets' regulation in the European Union
Very good communication and interpersonal capabilities:
Problem- solving and hands-on approach, eagerness to constantly learn and face new challenges
Open-minded with the ability to grasp new concepts rapidly
High degree of flexibility, passion for compliance and risk matters
Resilient and able to set priorities and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex matters
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Team player with the ability to work independently
Languages: Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken is a must
