Job Description - Compliance Officer, Asset Management (France)

For a leading Swiss asset management group we are seeking a Compliance Officer to support its French entity, a fully fledged asset manager with a securities business and ongoing acquisitions. The role bridges the Swiss compliance function and the compliance colleagues in France, who retain the day-to-day business, and takes on project-based compliance topics for a period of three to six months.

Responsibilities:

Act as the compliance interface between Switzerland and the French entity, in close coordination with the local compliance team

Take over project-based compliance topics for the French business, including regulatory change, policy and control updates and remediation work, also in connection with the securities business and acquisitions

Support the French compliance function on European regulatory requirements (UCITS, AIFMD, MiFID II, MAR, AML) and on their implementation in local policies and procedures

Draft and review compliance policies, procedures and reporting in French and English

Report to the Group Compliance function in Zurich and keep stakeholders in both countries informed on progress

Qualifications:

Several years of compliance experience in asset management or the wider financial services industry, ideally with a fund manager or a securities business

Sound knowledge of European compliance and regulatory frameworks; experience with the AMF is an advantage but not a requirement

Very good to native French and good English, both written and verbal; German is beneficial

Independent and pragmatic working style with the ability to work remotely with a distributed team across two countries

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
