Essential Functions:
·Directs functional area of a major business segment. Translates concepts, develops strategy, and implements change. Creates programs responsive to external environment. Participates in cross-functional business and cultural development.
·Provide technical consultation and leadership during the design process.
·Provide leadership and guidance in the design review process, as well as presiding over formal design reviews. Approves design reviews and design practices. Approves designs at ITO stage done in TT.
·Promote division wide initiatives related to design quality and reliability.
·Represent the Chief Engineer’s Office in matters related to design practices and design board activities of electrical and design aspects of generators.
·Lending experience/knowledge to help solve technical problems and provide technical mentoring.
Actively maintains the knowledge network in his functional area with regular meetings with CEs and PEs. Commends and assesses PEs in his functional area.
Qualifications/Requirements:
·Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Physics or equivalent experience
·Fluent in English and at least one other language
·Significant experience in an engineering capacity
Desired Characteristics:
·Master of Science in Engineering or ACE graduate is preferred
