Your Mission

Join us at CDDS to bring next-generation control, guidance, and state-estimation algorithms into high-speed kinetic interceptor drones.

We are looking for an experienced Drone Test Engineer:

• take full responsibility of field tests and customer demonstrations

• take ownership of the development on the low-level control stack

• help tune optimize and improve the current software stack to extract its full potential

We move at a high pace and priorities shift quickly. You should be comfortable building in an environment where the problem and responsibilities can change underneath you.

What you will be working on

• Writing high-quality, maintainable code under tight CPU and memory constraints
• Extending and customizing the PX4 flight stack
• Building and tuning our low-level flight controller
• Organize, lead and cunduct field tests
• Be responsible for the technical aspect of customer demonstrations

Qualifikation

Your Profile

We are looking for people who thrive in a fast paced start-up, on rapid prototyping, and hands-on flight testing. Implementing quick fixes and tests under pressure. Additionally, you are ready to travel to test locations abroad and be part of customer demonstrations all over the world.Required

• MSc in Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or similar
  field with strong academic record
• Strong C++ programming skills
• Experience with PX4, Betaflight, iNAV or a similar flight stack
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex systems
• Open to travel often

Nice to have

• Flight Experience with UAVs
• Experience with:
  o ROS2, and real-time robotics software
  o MPC, RL, trajectory optimization
  o Computer vision and Optical sensors
  o Fast-moving object interception / high-dynamics control
  o Simulation Frameworks like Gazebo or Isaac Sim
• Background in drone flight testing or competitive robotics
• Driver license
