Data Engineer

Zurich | Hybrid | 80–100% | Permanent

Salary: CHF 110,000 - CHF 120,000 per annum

About the Opportunity

An established Swiss technology and digital solutions company is looking for a Data Engineer to join its growing Data & Analytics team.

You'll work on varied data engineering projects, designing integrations, transforming complex datasets and helping organisations connect systems and automate business processes more effectively.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing engineering position offering plenty of variety, technical ownership and the opportunity to work across different projects and data environments.

Main Responsibilities

• Design and implement data integrations and complex data transformations


• Develop interfaces connecting different applications, platforms and data sources


• Analyse existing data structures and business processes to design effective technical solutions


• Work closely with customers, external partners and internal technical teams


• Develop concepts for automated and optimised data processes


• Take ownership of projects from initial requirements through to implementation


• Support the implementation of solutions within customer environments


• Continuously improve existing integrations, processes and data solutions

Your Profile

• ​Professional experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration or a similar role


• Strong SQL skills and understanding of data structures and transformations


• Experience designing and implementing system interfaces


• Python or PowerShell experience is advantageous


• Strong analytical skills with a good understanding of business processes


• Comfortable working directly with customers and stakeholders


• Relevant IT education and an independent, solution-oriented approach
