This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director of Product Management – Developer Tools in Switzerland.
This leadership role oversees a portfolio of widely used developer-focused products spanning APIs, file management, rich text editing, and data visualization tools. You will define and drive product strategy across multiple established products used by hundreds of thousands of developers and thousands of companies worldwide. The role blends strategic ownership with people leadership, managing a team of product managers and guiding roadmap decisions across diverse developer communities. You will identify synergies across products, strengthen positioning in competitive markets, and ensure each product has a clear path to growth and differentiation. Working closely with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams, you will translate market insights into actionable strategy. This is a highly cross-functional, remote-friendly role requiring strong technical fluency and a deep understanding of developer ecosystems.
Accountabilities
Lead product strategy and team execution across a portfolio of developer tools while ensuring alignment with business goals and market opportunities:
- Manage and coach a team of product managers across multiple products, supporting their growth, prioritization, and execution quality
- Define and own multi-product roadmaps, balancing individual product focus with cross-portfolio synergies and integration opportunities
- Drive strategic direction for APIs, SDK-based products, and developer components across multiple markets and user segments
- Conduct market and customer analysis to identify opportunities, competitive positioning, and evolving developer needs
- Partner with engineering and design to translate strategy into scalable, high-quality product delivery
- Collaborate with GTM teams to support launches, positioning, and product adoption across diverse developer audiences
- Ensure clear communication of product vision, priorities, and trade-offs across executive and cross-functional stakeholders
Requirements
Experienced product leader with strong technical fluency and proven success in developer-facing B2B environments:
- 8+ years of product management experience, including leadership of product managers in a portfolio or multi-product environment
- Strong background in developer tools, API products, SaaS platforms, or embedded software components
- Deep understanding of developer ecosystems, including APIs, SDKs, webhooks, and integration patterns
- Demonstrated ability to define and execute product strategy across multiple products or business lines
- Experience managing and developing PM talent, building accountability and high-performance team culture
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to synthesize market signals into clear product direction
- Excellent communication skills with experience influencing senior stakeholders across engineering, sales, and marketing
- Ability to balance competing priorities, manage ambiguity, and make informed trade-off decisions
- Comfort working in distributed, global teams across time zones
