What we are looking for
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on EASA Aviation Safety & Compliance Engineer to support our operational environment in Glattbrugg. In this role, you will play an active part in upholding and advancing our Safety Management System (SMS) and Compliance Monitoring System (CMS) - working across all operational areas and contributing to a strong, proactive safety culture. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who thrives in a regulated environment and is eager to grow their expertise across the full breadth of an integrated aviation organisation.
Your main tasks
- Support safety and compliance activities across AOC, ATO, CAMO and Part-145.
- Conduct and follow up internal audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
- Monitor compliance with EASA, authority and internal requirements.
- Support occurrence reporting, investigations, risk assessments and corrective actions.
- Maintain manuals, procedures, records and action trackers.
- Prepare safety and compliance reports, SPI / KPI trends and management review input.
- Assist during authority, customer and external audits.
- Promote safety culture and continuous improvement across operational departments.
- Travel occasionally as required for audits and operational support.
Your qualifications
- Degree, diploma or equivalent experience in Aviation, Engineering, Safety, Quality or a related field.
- Strong interest in aviation safety and EASA compliance.
- Basic understanding of AOC, ATO, CAMO or Part-145 is desirable.
- Experience in auditing, compliance monitoring, SMS or occurrence reporting is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
- Fluent in English; German, French or other languages are an advantage.
- Good MS Office skills; experience with reporting or quality systems is a plus.
- Previous exposure to Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, but not essential
